Our games

This covers every Balanced Pebbles game, starting with Bumper Buddies.

Nothing about you

The games don't ask for a name, an email address, a birthday, a photo or anything else about you or your child. There are no accounts and no sign-in.

No internet, at all

The games never connect to the internet. That means no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting, no cloud saves, no leaderboards, and no links that leave the game. A check runs on every build of every game to keep it that way, and every release is tested for any network use before it ships.

What stays on the device

Each game saves its progress and settings, and its Play Balance plan and PIN, on the device itself. The PIN is never saved as its digits, only in a scrambled form (salted and hashed) used to check it when it's typed. None of this ever reaches us.

If you back up your device, for example with iCloud Backup or to a computer, these files are in the backup like any app's. That's between you and Apple; we don't see it.

Deleting it

On iPhone and iPad, deleting a game deletes everything it saved. On a Mac, a game's files stay in your Library folder after the app is deleted; Support says where.

Children

Our games are made for everyone, children included. They collect no personal information from anyone, so they collect none from children. There are no ads, no purchases, no chat, and no links that leave the game.

Apple and the App Store

You get our games from Apple's App Store. Apple handles the download, under Apple's privacy policy. Apple shows us totals, such as how many people viewed or downloaded a game.

If you have chosen to share with app developers (on iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements > Share With App Developers), Apple may also send us crash reports and usage figures from your device. You can turn that off there at any time.

This website

No cookies, nothing stored

This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.

No analytics or trackers

No analytics, no ads, no tracking pixels, no social buttons, no embedded videos or maps, and no forms.

Nothing from anyone else

Every font, picture and script here comes from this site, so your browser asks no one else for anything while you're here. Links to Apple or Cloudflare take you there only when you choose them.

Cloudflare hosts it

Like any web host, Cloudflare's network receives each request your browser makes, including your IP address and the page you asked for, so that it can deliver the page and protect the site from attack. Cloudflare handles that under Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Cloudflare shows every site owner basic traffic totals: requests, bandwidth, unique visitors and requests by country. We can't switch those off. We don't use them to identify anyone, and we keep no logs of our own. We have turned off Cloudflare's features that would add cookies or scripts to this site.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

There's no tracking here for those signals to turn off. The site is the same whether or not your browser sends them.

If you email us

If you write to hello@balancedpebbles.com, Cloudflare forwards your message to our family's Gmail inbox, so Google holds it too. We receive your email address and what you write, and we use it only to reply to you. We never add you to a mailing list, and we don't share it. Please leave out personal details, such as a child's name; we don't need them to help.

We keep messages only as long as we need them to help you; ask and we'll delete yours.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here with a new date.
